Every Brilliant Thing Summary:

A person copes with their mother’s depression from the age of 7 by creating a list of everything that makes life worth living. As they go through life, others begin adding to the list.

Audition Details:

General Auditions: Saturday, April 20, 2pm at the PARC (70 Saltspring Dr.)

What to Prepare

  • Readings will be from the text of the play. Sides are available free-of-charge at the SJCT Box Office. Copies of the full script are also available with a $10 deposit (refundable on return of the script) at the SJCT Box Office, open 11am-2pm, Tuesday-Friday.

Character Breakdown:

All roles are open.

  • Narrator—Any gender, any race, 30-80 years old.

Content: This show includes brief dialogue about depression and suicide.


Production Schedule Details:

Rehearsals at PARC Building (70 Saltspring Drive) and San Juan Community Theatre

Rehearsals may let out earlier than scheduled but will not run late.

  • May 13-June 1, 6:30-9:30pm Sun-Thur
  • June 2-15, 6pm-9:30pm Sun-Thur
  • June 16-26, 6pm-10:30pm Sun-Thur
