Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm, September 27-November 15.
Location: SJCT Conference Room and PARC Building
Gain the confidence you need to take your first steps into directing or expand the skills you’ve gained from prior experience! This class provides foundational concepts for directors and is a great opportunity to gain the skills needed for directing at a theatre like SJCT. You’ll learn the basics of staging, etiquette, and production while delving into more advanced topics like script analysis, conceptualization, working with designers and actors, the casting process, and more!
Cost: $195, scholarships available
(attendance at a minimum of six sessions is required)
About Nathan Kessler-Jeffrey: Nathan has directed for American Globe, ACT, Taproot, Seattle Play Series, Transparent Storytellers, Driftwood Players, The Jameson Project, Abilene Shakespeare Festival, and more. He founded the Taproot Theatre Internship Project to provide performance and directing opportunities to seasonal interns. He is an alumnus of Director’s Lab West and holds an MFA in Directing from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
